Party time!

3year old

4year old

So it was the party of the year at my house celebrating 2year old and 3year old's birthday! They are now the grand old age of 3 and 4.

Bless them they had such a good day and it was so wonderful seeing their little faces light up when they came downstairs to masses of balloons and streamers, they were in party heaven!

Hubby and I spent from 8am getting everything ready, from food to party games and party favours and cakes, the house looked great! We invited 5 kids from 4year old's nursery and my friend mummy B's children so all in all there were 11 children in my house!

We told the parents it was ok to drop their kids off because we don't have masses of room and we were supposed to be getting some back up support (which never turned up on time!) so we were left with 11kids, my grandad, mummy B and her hubby.

We were all outnumbered but they all behaved like angels! We played pass the parcel, musical chairs, pin the wings on tinkerbell, musical bumps, a dance competition and finaly another game of pass the parcel, everyone had a great time and especially my girls.

When it came to singing happy birthday and blowing out the candles i felt a little choked up because my babies are growing up so fast. It only feels like yesterday when i was holding them in the delivery suite looking at them thinking how wonderful it is to be their mummy. My heart still pangs with motherly warmth when i see them play and my mind transports me back to when they were crawling or just sitting up or being covered in food in their highchairs. It seems not that long ago that they were learning to walk and talk and a part of me is sad that they are growing older.

4year old and 3year old now

But i cannot stop them growing and i am very proud of how far 3year old and 4year have come and i'm sure that this time next year i will be saying the same things when they turn 4 and 5.........sigh! x x x x

  4. happy birthday!!! Oh I know the emotion that comes with singing when the cake comes in. I never thought time would pass so quickly and the constant feeling of looking forward to all the new stuff they come up with and missing the old baby stuff.

  11. Happy Birthday to the little angels!

My oldest and youngest have birthdays 3 days apart, they're now 17 and 11, then there is my son, just 14 days later, he's now 15. It's surprising how fast time fly's!

They were both so tired that 4year old fell asleep at 4pm and that was it! I had to wake her up to put her pjs on and then she went back to sleep lol! 3year old was in bed for 5pm! So a good time had by all! xxxxxxxx
