After a few torrid months off with my broken ankle and getting back into the swing of things, I went for my first run in ages on Sunday.
It felt so good being back pounding the Tarmac. I've missed it so much, the freedom, the head space and most of all the feelings I get from running.
I love the determined feeling I get as I run, hearing my app counting the minutes going by and listening to music.
I love loosing my thoughts in the surroundings just enjoying the wind whistling through my hair, the odd autumnal leaf blowing past me and the crunch crunch of the seasonal carpet beneath my feet.
This morning the air was crisp, the sun was out and my legs were aching after nearly 6weeks out of running. But I pushed through and had a enjoyable time.
After a run the positive feelings last all day, I feel brighter, more cheery, more eager to face the day and all round a happier person. Even hubs commented on that I'm a different person when I'm running.
So 'touch wood' my ankle is holding out and it's business as usual, it's my birthday in a few weeks so hopefully October is going to be a fab month.
